Programs Currently Offered
Acrobatics for Professional Dansers
The athletic requirements of professional dancers have changed... Successful dancers now incorporate movements from various acrobatic disciplines such as breakdance, capoeira, gymnastics and circus into their repertoire. Here are several objectives of the program:
- Train explosive power
- Learn complex acrobatic movements in a safe and progressive manner which respects human anatomy
(handsprings, aerials, walkovers...)
- Train active flexibility into maximum amplitudes
- Learn proper falling techniques
- Learn dynamic, acrobatic-type lifts

Fitness Club Program
Club LaCité (2005-2006)
Paragym offers specialized courses designed for the hard floor surfaces of fitness club aerobics rooms using minimal mats. Two different course formats have been offered previously: Paragym I (posture and agility; ages 30-55) and Paragym II (reinforcement and acrobatics; ages 18-30). Supplemental information, demographics and a live demonstration may be provided upon demand.

Mime and Acrobatics
"In house" Seminar
This seminar offers an experience which is both technical and fun. Techniques taught in mime and basic acrobatics are integrated with one another to provide a unique movement experience – further opening understanding of the possibilities of the human body. All are welcome.
Themes include:
« Mission impossible »: gestures related to ‘dangerous’ or ‘difficult’ situations
An analysis of common movements…then exaggerated until they become acrobatic
Body games
Gestures related to the animal kingdom (incorporating various emotional states)

Introduction to Swinging
"In house" Seminar
Swinging techniques are taught on and over various gymnastics apparatus including rings, parallel bars and high bar. Movements include those taken from artistic gymnastics but also from Parkour (using 'swing' to pass over an obstacle). Both technical and anatomical components are included.
Themes include:
Suspension swinging hanging from bars and rings
Support swinging on one hands on parallel bars and pommel horse
Both of the above used as a means of passage over various obstacles
Simple dismounts
